Grandma and Grandpa Chapman visited this weekend and we had lots of fun.
Goldy Gopher Fan Club had a Kickball Party. The girls played kickball and Duck, Duck, Grey Duck with other kids and some U of M student athletes.
Casey's first time up for "bat", kicked the ball and took off towards first, continued to second and didn't stop running until home plate. Keep in mind her kick barely made it back to the pitcher...she didn't have any concern if she was going to get out. She was on a mission to take a round trip around the bases....she's a pretty quick little mite too! She was by far the smallest and youngest Goldy Gopher Fan there and had everyone in the building laughing!
I think we have a runner on our hands with Miss Maria. She is a natural. She also took great care of her little sister. Casey didn't leave her side and Maria made sure she was ok throughout the entire party. Maria always let Casey go before her and was her biggest fan, cheering her all the way around the bases. It was so cute!
We were very impressed with how the U of M Student Athletes handled the kids. They seemed like they were having just as much fun as the kids.

Unfortunately, Goldy didn't make it long. He had a bad tummy so he just played for a few minutes, but we got to see him!!
After some burgers on the grill at home, we headed to Downtown Minneapolis to enjoy the weather and check out all the action. We walked around the Nicollet Mall area, tried to find ice cream but found bars were the establishments of choice in this particular area. We did find a place to get some Icees for the girls but struck out on ice cream. We were able to walk right up to Target Field. It was a great night and we had fun checking out all the things to see in Downtown Minneapolis.
